This month's movie
features the African-American Male Exchange and Engagement Program and the
Asian Thanksgiving (in observance of Chinese Moon Festival and Korean
Chuseok) The family spirit is a hallmark of the University of
Dayton. Founded and operated by the Society of Mary (Marianists),
UD is characterized by its Marianist sense of family. From
their founder, William Joseph Chaminade, Marianists
inherited a vision of the equality of all human beings.
Within the order itself, there is no hierarchy, no
distinction between and among its members. All members are
equal, and all share equally in the benefits and
responsibilities of their shared lives.
At the University of Dayton we are committed to creating
an academic community that celebrates inclusivity while
focusing on the Marianist philosophy of learning, service,
leadership and community. As a member of the division of
Student Development, Multicultural Affairs (OMA) provides
staff, facilities, services and special programs to support
the academic experience of students. The staff works closely
with academic deans, faculty and administrative offices to
provide a comfortable and supportive campus environment
based on the intellectual social and cultural needs of a
community of learners. This office serves as a resource for
the entire campus community, while providing multicultural
students and their families with a direct and centralized
connection to the University. |
